Specialist support
Room for the whole of your experience
I offer specialist therapeutic support to people experiencing pregnancy and infant loss and infertility.
I am a Pregnancy and Infant Loss and Infertility Practitioner, accredited by the Foundation for Infant Loss, and my practice is informed by the Sands National Bereavement Care Pathway (NBCP).
Pregnancy and infant loss can involve profound grief, but it can also be an intensely physical experience. From the hormonal changes following miscarriage or pregnancy loss to the physical recovery from pregnancy and birth, the body as well as the mind may be trying to process what has happened.
Infertility and the experience of trying to conceive can similarly bring complicated and sometimes conflicting feelings, including grief, hope, uncertainty, anger, isolation and loss of control.
I offer a sensitive space in which there is room for the whole of your experience, both emotional and physical, without assumptions about how you should be feeling or grieving.
Experiences I can support
At your own pace
You may be struggling to return to everyday life following a loss, or finding that your grief feels difficult for others to understand.
You may be experiencing heightened anxiety during a subsequent pregnancy following an earlier loss.
Partners can also need their own space to grieve, particularly when they have felt that they need to suppress their own feelings in order to support someone else.
I also work with parents who have experienced an early pregnancy loss and whose grief may have felt insufficiently recognised or acknowledged by others.
Whatever your circumstances, we can take time to understand what this experience means for you, at your own pace.
My aim is to support the whole person โ mind and body โ through what can be a profoundly emotional and physical experience.
